Udta Teer Trailer Dharma Productions Movie
The trailer for Udta Teer is finally here, and it turns Ayushmann Khurrana into a spy who forgets which side he’s on. The film brings him back on screen with Sara Ali Khan, it hits theatres on October 9.
The wait built up over two weeks, ever since the first poster dropped with a cheeky line about a spy who remembers patriotism but forgets his own country. Now fans finally get the full picture.
What Happens in the Udta Teer Trailer
Ayushmann plays Bilal Ahmad, a Pakistani intelligence agent sent on a mission into India. An explosion changes everything, wiping his memory clean.
Confused and disoriented, Bilal wakes up convinced he’s actually part of India’s Counter-Terrorism Squad. From there, the mix-up spirals into chaos, comedy and a fair bit of accidental heroism.
The 3 minutes and 18 seconds of footage packs in action set pieces, slapstick humour and a surprising amount of heart. Notably, Bilal’s confused patriotism becomes the engine driving most of the film’s jokes.
Where Sara Ali Khan Fits In
Sara appears in the trailer, but only briefly. Her character’s exact role and her connection to Bilal remain under wraps for now.
This marks her second film with Ayushmann this year, after Pati Patni Aur Woh Do earlier in 2026. That film didn’t land with audiences, so this reunion carries a bit of pressure to deliver.
Meanwhile, fans are already speculating about a possible musical callback. Some are wondering whether the duo might recreate a classic Shah Rukh Khan number somewhere in the film.
Behind the Camera: A Debut Director and a Stacked Cast
Akash A Kaushik makes his feature directorial debut with Udta Teer. Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment back the film, with Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain producing.
Here is the trailer of Movie
The supporting cast reads like a who’s who of character actors. Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, Suhail Nayyar, Gulshan Grover, Raghubir Yadav, Brijendra Kala, Supriya Pilgaonkar and Smita Tambe all feature in key roles.
The late Mukul Dev also appears in the film, giving his role a bittersweet significance. He passed away in May 2025, and this marks one of his final on-screen appearances.
Sachin-Jigar composed the music, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Azeem Dayani served as music supervisor for the project.
Release Date and Box Office Clash
Udta Teer releases on October 9, 2026. However, it won’t have the weekend to itself.
The film clashes with Bokshi, a folk horror debut set in Sikkim, shot in Hindi, Nepali and English. Consequently, October 9 could turn into an interesting battle between two very different genres.
The Udta Teer trailer promises a chaotic, patriotic ride, and fans now have a countdown to the big screen. Do you think Ayushmann and Sara can bounce back after their last outing together? Tell us in the comments below.
