Speaking with fellow contestant Qazi Touqeer, Gullu shared that his marriage ended in divorce back in 2024, roughly four to five months after the wedding. This marks the first time he’s addressed it in front of an audience.
The conversation started casually, with Qazi asking about Gullu’s past on reality television. It turned personal fast, and Gullu chose to share something he had kept private for years.
What Gullu Said About His Marriage and Divorce
Gullu was direct about it: “Not something like a breakup, I had a divorce.”
As he put it: “On our side, marriages happen early, and I had to marry because of my family.”
However, the marriage didn’t work out the way he’d hoped. He said he tried to make it work, but eventually chose to end it, even though people around him disagreed with that decision.
Family Estrangement and a Year-Long Process
His decision to push through with the divorce came at a cost, his family stopped speaking to him entirely.
At the core of the rift was a simple clash: he wanted out, and his family didn’t. Sorting everything out reportedly took about a year and took a real toll on him.
Despite the difficulty, Gullu said he’s come out the other side. He told Qazi he’s finally past that period of his life.
The Wedding Photo Leak During Roadies
Gullu also connected the timeline to his stint on Roadies XX: Double Cross. He recalled that he was in Goa filming with the Roadies team when the images surfaced. “I thought it was a game over for me,” he said.
He admitted he was caught completely off guard, with no idea how to respond. The leak came without warning, during a period when he was already trying to rebuild his career.
A Lighter Moment to Close the Conversation
The exchange wasn’t entirely heavy. Qazi lightened the mood afterward by putting together a short song about Gullu, joking that the lyrics fit his personality.
Meanwhile, viewers are getting to see a side of Gullu that hadn’t come up on the show before. It’s a rare moment of vulnerability inside the Bigg Boss house.
