Alliance Season 2 Prime Video Season 2 Confirmed
Prime Video has locked a return date for Alliance and Season 2 begins streaming on January 14, 2027. Kunal Kemmu comes back as host, picking up a format that turned into one of the platform’s bigger reality hits this year.
The announcement arrives roughly five months after Season 1 wrapped. A fresh poster accompanied the reveal, giving fans their first visual tease of what’s ahead.
What Alliance Actually Is
Alliance adapts a Dutch reality format created by John de Mol, built by production house Banijay Asia for Indian audiences. The show places sixteen celebrity contestants, called Allies, inside a single headquarters controlled by an unseen force known as The System.
Inside that HQ, contestants juggle physical tasks, mental puzzles and constantly shifting social alliances. Notably, the series became Prime Video’s first-ever daily reality show released anywhere in the world, with new episodes dropping every day at noon.
How Season 1 Ended
Season 1 began on June 26 and ran through to its finale on August 6. Television host Mini Mathur walked away with the win and a prize of Rs 50 lakh.
Aly Goni and Ruhee Dosani rounded out the top three as finalists. Their run, and the strategic twists along the way, built enough momentum that Prime Video decided to bring the format back sooner than a typical annual gap.
Why Prime Video Moved Quickly on a Second Season
According to the streamer, viewer response to Season 1 directly shaped this decision. Nikhil Madhok, who heads Originals for Prime Video India, pointed to strong interest in a reality format built around strategy rather than pure spectacle.
The turnaround between seasons is unusually fast for a format of this scale. Most reality productions take considerably longer to plan, cast and shoot a new run.
Kunal Kemmu and the Team Behind Season 2
Kunal Kemmu’s return anchors the new season, and the production team has made clear they see him as central to the show’s identity. Mrinalini Jain, who leads development at Banijay Asia, described him as bringing a distinct energy to the HQ during Season 1.
She added that audiences should expect an even less predictable game this time. Meanwhile, the makers have framed Alliance’s core appeal around a single, simple question: when the rules keep shifting, who manages to stay sharp?
What We Still Don’t Know
The contestant list for Season 2 has not been revealed. Prime Video has confirmed only the date, the host and the network’s commitment to the format, leaving the cast reveal as the next major announcement to watch for.
Given how Season 1’s alliances and betrayals drove most of the online conversation, the cast announcement will likely generate even more buzz than this release-date news.
Alliance Season 2 lands on Prime Video on January 14, 2027, with Kunal Kemmu back in charge of the HQ. Who do you want to see walk into The System this time around? Tell us in the comments below.
